GM Says Colorado & Canyon Diesels Are America’s Most Fuel-Efficient Pickup Trucks
The diesel renditions of the 2016
Chevrolet Colorado and 2016 GMC Canyon may be the pickup trucks you need if
fuel proficiency is a noteworthy concern.
With an EPA-assessed 31 mpg (7.6L/100km) expressway, 22 mpg
(10.7L/100km) city and 25 mpg (9.4L/100km) joined, the two-wheel drive versions
of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon offer an expected greatest
driving scope of 651 miles (1,048 km) with a 21-gallon (80L) fuel tank.
Four wheel drive adaptations of the two generally
indistinguishable models return 23 mpg consolidated, 20 mpg in the city and 29
mpg on the parkway.
Force originates from a 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel
motor, creating 181 HP (184 PS) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque, sent to the
back wheels by means of a six-speed programmed transmission.
The most extreme towing ability of the two diesel pickup
trucks is 7,700 pounds (3,492 kg) in 2WD structure and 7,600 pounds (3,447 kg)
for 4WD renditions.
The 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Diesel goes marked down this
fall in two flavors, LT and Z71 Crew Cab, while the GMC Canyon, in SLE and SLT
Crew Cab models. Both are evaluated $3,730 more than their correspondingly
prepared 3.6-liter V6 partners.
